Company establishment of SAM on the site of the traditional company SKL Magdeburg - The company specialises in the construction of steel towers.
1998
The business is expanded in the fields of steel bridge construction and hydraulic steel structures. Beginning of steel bridge construction when the first order is received for: \"Ziegelgrabenbrücke Stralsund\" / beginning of hydraulic steel structures when the order arrives for the construction of a floodgate for the “Schleuse Rothensee”.
1999/2000
Manufacturing capacities are expanded due to new buildings on the SKET industrial premises being occupied.

Design and occupation of the administration building on the SKET industrial premises

The production facilities for the manufacturing of steel construction components for machine and plant construction are expanded upon on the SLK premises

The first welding robot for generator manufacturing is put into service.

Manufacturing capacities are expanded upon through design and commissioning of a new building complex on the SKL industrial premises.

A new corrosion complex for machine and plant construction components is put into service.
2003
Acquisition of a new business area – steel construction projects for the cement and mineral industry; the first orders in this area were then received.

Certified in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001:2000 for the first time.
2005
SAM establishes itself as a permanent independent provider of complete bridges by completing the \"Sternbrücke“ over the Elbe in time for the event celebrating 1,200 years of the city of Magdeburg.
2006
Optimisation of the warehouse unloading concept via the construction of an outside crane, allowing simultaneous storage of 12,000 tonnes of metal sheeting.

Development of concepts, processes and equipment to manufacture steel rotor blades E126

SAM invests sustainably in a new manufacturing line for a 3D support tube with the following main components: annealing furnace, 4,800-tonne press and 3D robot cutting

Commissioning of a new manufacturing line for various components of heavy steel construction. For business strategy reasons, SAM was divided up into two separate business divisions, creating the company MAM Maschinen- und Anlagenbau GmbH.
